    Hi Troy,

Sensei provides Advanced Network Analytics, which depend on a Big-Data Database like Elasticsearch and Mongodb. This is why we require more resources than that of ntopng.

Still, you should be able to run reporting with local mongodb in your firewall if your CPU score is not too weak. This will give you 3 days reporting history.

Or, you can completely offload the database to a remote Elasticsearch instance (available in free edition) . This will virtually get you limitless in terms of database.

During initial config Sensei will automatically check your HW and offer the best optimum configuration for you.

Just follow the instructions during the initial config wizard.

    Hi Troy,

See this blog post discussing in detail how you can use a remote Elasticsearch database : https://www.sunnyvalley.io/post/using-remote-elasticsearch-for-sensei-reporting/

    Hi,

is there any article which helps to install elasticsearch / Kibana so that it works for Sensei? The current documentation is only referring to do what to do in case elasticsearch is already up and running.

    Any redirect would be helpful.

I tried to follow https://logz.io/blog/elastic-stack-windows/ but for some reason this did not work well.

    Thank you,
