Zenarmor and transparent bridge in OPNsese

Hello.

I installed OPNsense and configured a transparent bridge with LAN and WAN ethernet interfaces. I then installed Zenarmor. The problem is that Zenarmor only shows LAN and WAN as interfaces, but not the bridge. Moreover connected devices are sometime shown as connected to igc0 (LAN), sometimes as connected to igc1 (WAN). This makes the whole Zenarmor functioning unpredictable. Is there a way to fix it or simply I cannot use Zenarmor witha transparent bridge? Thanks

  Hi Ilario,

  If you only protect the LAN side of the bridge that should do the trick:

  • Stop zenarmor engine
  • configure zenarmor to only protect the LAN side of the bridge
  • remove all devices
  • start zenarmor engine

  You should now see devices being identified in a correct fashion.

  Thank you Matt, I did it and looks good.

  I was not sure wich security zone I had to select (LAN/WAN): I selected LAN, I hope this is correct.

  Seems to work well right now.

  Ilario, you're more than welcome. LAN is always a better choise ;)
