Possible phishing? Unsolicited support request from Zenarmor
I recently received an email from support@zenarmor.zendesk.com that I am a bit unsure about.
The sender claims that my system is "constantly searching for updates to find a problem" and is asking for information/feedback. The strange thing is: I haven't opened a support ticket recently.
I wanted to verify if this is a legitimate proactive outreach from the Zenarmor support team or if this might be a phishing/scam attempt.
A few details (without exposing private data):
-
Sender: support@zenarmor.zendesk.com
-
Reason given: System is checking for updates to identify an issue.
- Asking for Remote Support
Has anyone else received similar emails or can someone from the official team confirm if this is a valid request?
Here the initnal Email body: "

SVN Support Team (Zenarmor Help Desk) Mar 31, 2026, 07:03 PDT Hi Christoph,
This is Salih from the Zenarmor support team. We’ve observed that your firewall is requesting Zenarmor updates every second, whereas it should typically request updates once per hour. Could you please confirm if you’ve added a custom cron job? Best regards Salih" |
Thank you in advance!
