Good morning everyone, I am in the process of setting up my home lab and for perimeter protection, the idea is to implement a firewall using OPNSense. On a well-known marketplace, I found an appliance with Intel i3 3120M, 8GB RAM, and 18GB SSD, which should be suitable for OPNSense.

With a view to further improving and moving closer to an NGFW stack, I wanted to evaluate the possibility of also integrating Zenarmor in the home version, starting with a free plan and then scaling up to a higher plan if necessary.

 

However, the question that arises is whether the hardware I have indicated can support OPNSense and Zenarmor or whether I need to consider higher-end hardware.

  Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern.

  Sorry for late reply, we have missed your message. You cna use this Hardware for Zenarmor as well. I advise you to increase the disc size.
